House in Kamakura

An earthen-floored indoor space seamlessly incorporates the existing garden, creating a gentle transition from garden to earthen floor to living room to remote work space. The gradation of light adds depth to the interior.
A second-floor terrace with a deep eave was created through partial demolition. This new roofed space offers a place of relaxation with views of the sea beyond the mountains and the lush garden below.
