House in Oiso

Design details like a small veranda, outdoor kitchen, and low-threshold entrance support the lifestyle of an elderly client.
The reconstructed living space preserves the original structure and offers multiple circulation paths—allowing both parental relaxation and family interaction.
The layout connects the Japanese room, living room, and bedroom via an extended hallway, reimagining the comfort of a traditional “engawa” into an actively used space.
